Emily G. ★★★★★

The macro function on this one really surprised me for the price—got sharp close-ups of a butterfly without getting too close. Autofocus is a bit noisy on my Canon body, but for a pre-owned lens under $200, the image quality at 300mm is hard to beat.

Brian ★★★★★

Snagged this pre-owned copy and the autofocus is surprisingly quick for a budget telephoto. The 1:2 macro mode at 200mm really let me get close-up shots of a butterfly this morning.

Andrew I. ★★★★★

Picked this up pre-owned for my Canon and the autofocus is surprisingly snappy, even tracking birds in flight. The zoom ring has a nice smooth resistance, and at 300mm the macro feature really lets you capture sharp insect details.
