Emily Q. ★★★★★

The autofocus is just viciously fast on this thing—I was tracking swallows in flight and it locked on and stayed glued like nothing I've used before. For a pre-owned lens, the zoom ring feels buttery smooth and the reach from 100 to 400mm makes distant birds feel like they're right in front of me.

Henry ★★★★★

The zoom ring is buttery smooth and the autofocus locks onto birds fast even with the 1.4x teleconverter attached. I was nervous buying pre-owned, but the glass is flawless and the OSS let me handhold at 400mm down to 1/250.

James X. ★★★★☆

The image stabilization on this used lens is noticeably better than my last telephoto, letting me shoot handheld at 400mm without a tripod. A few tiny external scuffs from previous ownership, but optically it’s pristine and focuses quickly for birds in flight.
