The 18-300mm range is incredibly versatile for travel, and I love that I can switch from wide landscapes to close-up shots without changing lenses. The autofocus is quick and quiet thanks to the Hyper Sonic Motor, and it handles low light better than I expected for an f/3.5-6.3 lens.
